JRP SPEEDWAY HONORS DRIVERS AT AWARDS BANQUET

 

　

Champions were crowned for the 2011 racing season at JRP Speedway this past Saturday afternoon. We started out the special day for the Can Am kids with a cookout of hot dogs and sausages, and all the trimmings! Due to the inclement weather we weren’t able to challenge the kids to a parent – kid race on the go-kart track. I think that everyone had a good time anyway.

In Division I – Daniel Neal was crowned Champion with 8 wins this season. Although, she didn’t have any wins, lady driver of the #8 car, consistantly finished in the top 3 to take the second spot overall. Will LeBlanc with 3 wins, came in third, and last seasons Champion Kyle Schroeder of Oklahoma City with only 1 win, took the 4^th spot.

In division II, Arianna Simpson piloting the #5 can am, with 3 wins, took home the championship trophy. Even though he more wins than his fellow drivers, Jeremiah Rea took the second spot for the season final.

We only had two drivers who were honored with the perfect attendance awards, both of our lady drivers: Haley Maggard and Arianna Simpson.

Congrats to them for their determination in the 2011 season.

The Most improved driver of the year, over all in both divisions also went to lady driver – Haley Maggard. She did a great job this season and we hope to see her back next season.

We would also like to thank the Bullington Family for all their hard work this season, as well as Kent Guthrie, who helped in so many ways, even being the MC at the awards presentations.

          Go Kart Rental 7 days a week   8:00 am to 6:00 pm       

                                                 

Our go kart track is open all year!  JRP's Go-Kart track is a fun to race 1/4 mile asphalt road course with an added 3/16th mile road course. Our go karts are racing karts from Germany with 6 1/2 hp Honda engines. These easy to handle karts run at top speed of 60 mph. Individual rate is $35.00 for a 20 minute session.  We also have racing programs available for groups of six or more. These great racing programs include, practice laps, heat races and a feature race. Races are flagged and electronically timed with printouts available. Prices vary and include the use of our spacious clubhouse with patio and charcoal grill.  GREAT FOR CORPORATE EVENTS!
