Our go kart track is open all year!  JRP's Go-Kart track is a fun to race 1/4 mile asphalt road course with an added 3/16th mile road course. Our go karts are racing karts from Germany with 6 1/2 hp Honda engines. These easy to handle karts run at top speed of 60 mph. Individual rate is $35.00 for a 20 minute session.  We also have racing programs available for groups of six or more. These great racing programs include, practice laps, heat races and a feature race. Races are flagged and electronically timed with printouts available. Prices vary and include the use of our spacious clubhouse with patio and charcoal grill.  GREAT FOR CORPORATE EVENTS!

Chase Burris leads the way!

Chase wins double features at JRP Speedway!

The Can am kids of the Junior Racing League at JRP Speedway, endured the heat to do double features on Saturday morning. They held their first heat race on the ¼ mile oval track. #3 Carter Owens had the pole position, with #5 Chase Burris on the outside. Due to mechanical problems in the #11 Kyle Schroeder had to put in a back up car. Although, Kyle got a slow start, on the last lap of the heat he passed Owens for the win! The line up was the same for the first 15 lap feature. Kyle once again got a slow start and was lagging behind, but by the 5th lap he passed Owens, but #5 Chase Burris had a straight away lead and won the first feature unchallenged.

For the second feature, the JRL kids moved over the ¼ mile road course. Once again #11 Kyle Schroeder had mechanical problems and brought out yet another back up car, now driving the #55 hot rod. The boys got off to a good start, with Chase taking the lead by lap one. Kyle was up to second, with Carter trailing in third. Kyle once again developed mechanical difficulties and was done for the day on lap seven. Chase went on to win another feature, with Carter following closely in second.

The Thunderbolts ran with the Superlites this week to put on a better show. The #15 Superlite driven by lady driver Kellie Bullington fell out early due to an overheating issue with her hot rod. The #2 Superlite of Doug Bullington and the #11 of Robert Guthrie battled side by side for all 20 laps, Robert would gain in the corners, but Bullington gained it back on the straights. The winner by inches in the Superlites was Doug Bullington, and the Thunderbolt winners was points leader Robert Guthrie.

Next race will be Saturday Sept 4th, 10:00 am. As always our go kart track is open 7 days a week. Come have some fun!
